About Me

Hi, I’m Crystal. I’m a part-time barrel racer, first-time mom, and the voice behind Chasin’ Cans & Kids.

I grew up in California where horses, rodeo, and barrel racing were just a part of my everyday life. In 2018, I met my husband, a farrier/horse trainer, and we got married in 2020. That’s when I left the Golden State for Oklahoma and started building this wild, beautiful life we now live. We welcomed our son in June of 2024, and life hasn’t slowed down since.

These days, I’m learning to find my place again. In the saddle and in motherhood. Barrel racing after having a baby has looked a little different. It’s pushed me to rebuild my confidence, reset my mindset, and figure out who I am all over again, not just as a rider, but as a mom and a woman.

Chasin’ Cans & Kids started as a way to share my story and connect with other moms who might be navigating similar challenges trying to keep their own passions alive while raising a tiny human. I live life without a filter. What you see is what you get. It isn’t always picture-perfect, but it’s honest, and I thank God every day for the ride I’m on.
